As many of you already know WE ARE EXPECTING! After many ups and downs with trying to conceive we have finally succeeded. Here's our story.....
It's Monday, November 3, 2008 and I just thought to myself "I am going to take a HPT; if it's negative oh well I will wait a couple of days; if it's positive than WHOA". After waiting the elapsed time, there was clearly a +! I called my best friend Belinda and started to ball my eyes out. I explained to her what I did~she helped me think of a creative way to tell Jerry because I had about 2 hours before he was due home from work. When he walked in the door I told him I had a present. He said "wow, thanks" =) He opened it......after 30 seconds he finally realized what it was and that it was positive!!! We laughed, we cried and were in total shock. He wanted me to take another one the following morning, I did and that was positive too. After 3 line tests and a digital that read "Pregnant" he was finally convinced =)
We had our first appointment on November 13. The nurse drew blood and we had to wait 5 days for the results. Our glorious news was a huge secret to everyone because we didn't want to say anything until we had confirmation from the doctor. Finally, on Monday afternoon the doctor's office called with the results and said "everything is perfect, congratulations!" Now, we could officially celebrate. We waited until that Thursday to tell our parents. It was Jerry's idea to purchase Hershey Kisses and put our own message inside that read "We are expecting 7/15/09!!!!" Needless to say our parents were beyond excited!
On November 24, we had our first ultrasound appointment! We were able to hear the heartbeat! What an amazing experience.
